These pedagogical artifacts come from my time working in LEADR.
Through LEADR, I had the opportunity to develop and create course materials for several anthropology and history classes. Some of these classes were one-time workshops, while others were semester long projects that required several teaching and working days. The following sections describe these courses in more detail, and are supplemented with the relevant pedagogical artifacts for each course.
For those courses that were taught previously in LEADR, such as ANP 433: Contemporary American Indian Communities, I was able to build and fine-tune the educational materials that were created by previous LEADR staff. Credit to those individuals can be found in the associated handouts and PowerPoints.

SPRING 2024
ANP 433: Contemporary American Indian Communities with Dr. Heather Howard
The course that I spent the most time on (and had some of the biggest rewards in!) is ANP 433: Contemporary American Indian Communities. This course involved becoming well-versed with GitHub and version control. First started in 2016, This is Indian Country is a website that contains projects from students regarding indigenous community issues worldwide. This project continued during the spring 2024 semester, and consisted of several classes, working days, and many one-on-one discussions with students throughout the semester. The GitHub Basics PowerPoint was created by Zach Francis and was updated by me.

ISS 325: War and Revolution with Dr. Gillian Macdonald
Dr. Gillian Macdonald's class focused on issues and theories regarding international theory. As a part of the course, we created an assignment that utilized StoryMap JS. Students were taught the background behind StoryMap JS, then how to create a Story Map. The purpose of the Story Map was for students to learn how to create a place-based digital project on an approved topic that could be shared with a public audience. This particular course mirrors the course that I taught in the fall. You can find those teaching materials under the Fall 2023 ISS 325: War and Revolution with Dr. Gillian Macdonald section.
HST 201: Historical Methods and Skills with Dr. Emily Elliot
This was a one-time workshop that focused on exploring a few digital history projects that captured moments or periods of time in Soviet history. This workshop involved doing an environmental scan of a few digital history projects and discussed how they can be used for research (as well as entertainment).

HST 201: Historical Methods and Skills with Dr. Brooks Winfree
This was a one-time workshop that focused on exploring a few digital history projects that captured moments or periods of time in the U.S. West. This workshop involved doing an environmental scan of a few digital history projects and discussed how they can be used for research (as well as entertainment). I used the same slide set that I used for Dr. Emily Elliot's course, but switched out the projects and databases to match the course theme.

Poster-Making Workshops
Over the past few years, students that I have supervised in the MSU Bioarchaeology Lab have requested help with research poster creation, both for the Annual Anthropology Research Symposium and Showcase and for the University Undergraduate Research and Arts Forum (UURAF). With this knowledge, we held two workshops for anthropology and history students so that we could teach them the specifications for posters, where they could print their posters, and what an elevator pitch entails.

FALL 2023
ANP 420: Language and Culture with Dr. Chantal Tetreault
Dr. Chantal Tetreault's class allowed students to create surveys about topics related to education and teaching, which students were able to disseminate across online platforms of their choice. The culmination of the students' work resulted in a class presentation at the end of the semester discussing the results and limitations to their surveys and research. My role was to discuss digital literacy and digital ethics, how to create surveys, and how to digital visualizations.
