During my fourth year at Michigan State University, I began my Cultural Heritage Informatics (CHI) Fellowship and was assigned to be a teaching assistant in the Lab for Education and Advancement in Digital Research (LEADR). During my fall semester, I found out from other students that I was one class away from completing the requirements for the Digital Heritage (DH) Certificate. That's when I enrolled in the DH 865: Digital Humanities Seminar, and officially applied for the DH Certificate. DH 865 provided an overview for digital humanities conversations, theory, history, and practice, which provided me with a well-rounded understanding of DH and how it fits into research and education.
Through DH 865, LEADR, and CHI, I have completed the requirements for the DH Certificate (requirements can be found here).
